[News Boquete] Heat & Eat - Be a part of the Experience!

The 2 Guys & A Cooler family team has been serving the Chiriqui highlands for almost 15 years and with 61 years of combined experience we've been able to take a simple idea and revolutionize it.  The Freezer meal.  Are you familiar with the Heat & Eat experience?  I'm talking minimum effort with maximum reward.  The Heat and Eat experience is all about enjoying a delicious home cooked meal without all the fuss.  We offer the largest selection of Freezer Meals anywhere in Panama as we boast a dynamic menu.  This week for instance we have a few of my favorites:

Country Fried Steak with Country Gravy.  In Texas we call this chicken fried steak but no matter what you call it, its delicious!  It took years of trial and error to finally get to a place where we were ready to add this item to our menu.  The choice of beef, the spice profile, and of course the quality of the gravy.  Our country gravy is silky smooth with a beautiful flavor, even on the reheat.  The perfect topping for a tender country fried steak!!

Tex-Mex Beef Enchiladas with a Chile Ancho Red Sauce.  This is one serious plate.  It all starts with a Beef Picadillo (Mexican Style beef with potatoes).  This mix is added to corn tortillas and topped with our Mexican Cheese blend, a house crafted Chile Ancho red sauce, and a few black olives to boot.  The end result is a meal with a serious warning label ***CAUTION EATING THIS DISH MIGHT CAUSE A SPONTANIOUS PARTY IN YOUR MOUTH***

Mexican Picadillo.  Yes, we had to make extra.  This dish is for anyone who wants to create their very own Mexican Specialty.  Perfectly seasoned ground beef, tender potatoes, stewed tomatoes, and sauteed vegetables make the base for this delicious meat filling.  Use it to make tacos (soft or hard), nachos, tostadas, or chili relleno (if you know you know).  A very versatile offering that will make you look like a rock star in your own kitchen.

What about Cajun Food?  Oh yeah!!  This is where things get interesting.  For starters we make our own sausage from scratch, Andouille included.  So, our Cajun offerings are as authentic as they come.  Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, New Orleans Red Beans and Sausage, Cajun Jambalaya.  This week we got em all!!  From time to time, we will add Cajun Etouffee, Cajun Boudin, Smothered Flounder, Blackened snapper, Dirty Rice and a few other tasty South Louisiana Dishes!!

Eric's Kicked Up Meatloaf.  This is a dish we've been making for over a decade and it just never gets old.  I wanted to take the traditional meatloaf and elevate it on every level.  So that's what we did.  The end result is a dish with 2 huge meatloaf portions that has loads of flavor, is incredibly juicy, with a perfect tender texture.  We couple the dish with a side of roasted home fries to seal the deal!!

I love soups and so we tend to have a huge assortment of different soups to choose from at any given time.  This week we have Tomato Basil Soup that's silky, rich, and perfectly balanced.  We also have our Vegan Tibetan Lentil Soup, Broccoli Cheddar Soup (Perhaps Morton's will make some bread bowls), Loaded Baked Potato Soup, and our Roasted Cauliflower Chicken and White Bean Soup.  You can't go wrong with any of the above mentioned.  On the horizon we will be bringing back Mexican Tortilla Soup and our Black Bean Soup, so be on the lookout for those!!

Veggie burgers.  Don't get me wrong, I love my all-beef patty and it's hard to beat a great hamburger but our Veggie burgers are next level.  Artichokes, olives, roasted red peppers, roasted garlic, creamy chick peas, black beans, white beans, a touch of toasted oats, red onions, and fresh herbs to just name off a few ingredients.  These patties are ready for you to Heat and Eat!!  Great flavor and mouth feel.  I personally like to eat these as a burger with sour cream, Mexican salsa, lettuce, thinly slices tomatoes, a slice of avocado, in a butter toasted bun.  YUM.

Finally, I can't forget to mention the waffles!!  So easy and delicious.  This week we have cinnamon and apple waffles as well as our breakfast sausage waffles.  Both styles deliver amazing texture with a slight twist on the classic waffle.  Just heat them in your oven till crispy, top with your favorite topping, and enjoy.

If you are new to the Heat and Eat experience, we invite you to check out our web site.  Our menu changes from week to week, be on the look out for our delicious Chicken Pot Pies, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole, our Indian dishes like Tikka Masala, and we can't forget about our Spicy Thai Curries that bill bring a little spice to your dinner table😉
