[News Boquete] Fwd: GoGoose Delivery Going Into Phase 2

Hello everyone, it's been well over a month since you've heard from GoGoose Delivery, but since the government is going to loosen the restraints tomorrow and allow us to enter Phase 2 of the lockdown easement, we figured this would be a good time to reach out again.

We have all been dealing with this lockdown scenario differently. Some people found comfort in the fact that the government was looking out for our well-being, and others took serious offense to it and viewed it more as government overreach. Whatever your opinion of it is, or was, the fact remains that beginning tomorrow, June 1st, 2020, people will be allowed out again between the hours of 5 am - 7 pm without any cedula or shopping restrictions.

If you haven't been out and about as of late very much, you probably haven't seen the general attitude of people regressing to the 'old ways' again. While standing in lines people are creeping up closer. People are wearing their masks around their necks or below their chins, especially when talking, and even in some cases they just hold their masks in their hands, not even strapped to their faces. This indicates to me that people are forgetting that these restrictions were put in place for a reason. We get it, people are growing tired of the restrictions, but the longer we as a community don't abide by them, the longer we'll have to deal with them.

GoGoose is asking that everyone takes care of themselves as you enter into the 'new normal'. It is still highly suggested that if you don't have any real pressing needs to go out into the public sector, that it's still best to shelter in place. This is particularly important for the very young and the very old and definitely most important tho those with pre-existing conditions or those whose immune systems aren't running at 100%. Just yesterday there were a total of 487 confirmed new cases. That's one of the highest numbers we've seen. Granted, these numbers are not coming from our district or area, but why it's important to heed the advice of maintaining a Security Fence, keep our social distances, and keep our mouths covered with some type of mask. Remember, masks aren't exactly for your protection, but for the protection of others. So, enough of the dry stats and let's get into what GoGoose Delivery has been up to since we last had contact.

GoGoose Delivery had a ton of emails after our last email across this medium, and it was quite overwhelming at first, but we got past it and seemed to have ironed out most of the concerns and complications that some people were experiencing with our website. In our last email, we released to the public our online shopping and food delivering website, GoGooseShop.com. Since that original launch, a lot of things have changed, especially when it comes to ordering food from restaurants to be delivered. As far as the online shopping experience is going, the ever-time-consuming task of loading the big stores' inventory is a daunting task and it's going much slower than anticipated. However, it's a constant work in progress. The good news is that the restaurant food ordering system is flying along.

GoGoose Delivery and BoqueteEats.com have joined forces and have made the food ordering process much, much easier, and way more secure. Due to the simplification of the process, more restaurants want to be listed on our sites. You can see our growing list of restaurants on BoqueteEats.com. To sum up the ordering process you should know that orders have a $3 delivery minimum charge and/or $0.66 per kilometer. The $3 minimum covers Bajo Boquete, and Alto Boquete to about the Plaza San Francisco area. If you've been following our Facebook, Instagram, or Tik Tok social media presence, you have for sure seen by now that GoGoose Delivery has been taking your safety very seriously and have implemented, and continue to implement more safety standards as we go. We also don't stop come rain or shine. It's been challenging, but at the same time, it's been well worth serving our community and doing our part in keeping people safe and still being able to get their household goods.

Anyhow, time to bring this to a close. Take a few minutes and check out GoGooseShop.com and BoqueteEats.com and see if we can work for you.

[News Boquete] BCP

Because of the respect I have for the entire Boquete Community, it is important for me to express my appreciation  for all the information sent by different media regarding the future of BCP location.

  1. The current BCP board negotiated a sublease with TAP OUT,   authorized by me,  knowing that the term of the lease expires on June 30th.
  2. To achieve  the vision that the  TAP OUT owners had of the site, it was necessary to make a considerable investment,  which should be noted.
  3. These   investors have a current lease on the adjoining property  which they have maintained   to  my satisfaction.  In   view of that and knowing that they cover 60% of the BCP rent,  for the new lease beginning July 2020 I propose that the investors assume the lease of the property where TAP OUT is located . BCP would then sublease from the investors the space they would need.    The space will always be available to BCP and the activities they sponsor.  BCP is much more than a place for a restaurant or a market, it is a meeting place for the entire Community

Boquete is our little town that we all love and care about and I will continue to contribute to making it a desirable place for residents and visitors.

With all  my respect and always open to listen and help

[News Boquete] Important changes Starting Monday

Hello Boquete,

Lots of exciting changes are happening this week!!  It looks like Monday starts a new normal.  If all goes according to plan, we will be shifting from total quarantine to night time curfew..  This is great news!!

With these changes happening we will be consolidating our pickup day and window.  STARTING MONDAY 6/1/20 all pick-up will be on Mondays between 10am and 4pm.  When you check out please be sure to select what time you plan on arriving so that we can have your order ready.  Deliveries will also be on Mondays between 9am and 5pm.  If you have any questions please let me know.

On a side note does anyone currently have a printer that uses the ink cartridges 250/251 from Canon.  If you do, I have a little surprise for you.

This week we've been incredibly busy restocking and adding new menu items.  We've got Mexican Chorizo for the first time.  Talk about amazing authentic flavor.  Mexican chorizo is not like regular fresh sausage.  It is almost always cooked with other ingredients.  Most often you'll find Mexican chorizo cooked with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and served in warmed tortillas.  This is also a great sausage to cook and add to some vegetables and chicken for a "Chori-Pollo" experience.  To cook this sausage just place the amount you plan on eating in a hot skillet and cook for a few minutes stirring often.  Once the sausage is cooked add whatever else you want to it and enjoy!! I only made a limited amount but if you like it, I'll be sure to make more!

We have brought back our Tibetan Lentil Soup and the Mexican Turkey Taco Lasagna and it's smashing!  Hearty portions and lots of flavor take this dish to a new level.  We've also got Italian Lasagna, Cauliflower and white bean soup, Beef Massaman Thai Curry (Mild) and lots more!!

Check out our menu by clicking this link below and if you have any questions don't hesitate to send me a phone call or email.  If you want to get added to our email list be sure to click here:
Click here to get on my mailing list!!

To place an order simply complete the online ordering process and make sure you submit the order when complete. (this is the step most commonly missed)  You will get an order number immediately after completing your order.  Deliveries will be made on Monday between 9am and 3pm and if you plan on picking up your order please come between 10am and 4pm on Monday. If you are picking up at our location please be sure to select the time that you wish you pick up.  This helps us have your order ready.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon

[News Boquete] Message for U.S. Citizens: U.S. Embassy Panama City, Panama (May 28, 2020)

Seal with blue background

Message for U.S. Citizens:  U.S. Embassy Panama City, Panama (May 28, 2020)

Location: Panama

Event: Planned Commercial Humanitarian Flight

The Embassy has identified an additional flight, operated by Copa Airlines (flight number – CM4050), scheduled for June 10.  The flight will have a limited number of seats available.  Any traveler with the appropriate passport/visa to permit entry into the United States who wishes to depart Panama is eligible to purchase a ticket.  Travelers should carefully plan their onward travel as hotel options in Washington, D.C. may be limited.  Once in the United States, all domestic travel arrangements are the sole responsibility of the traveler.

The Embassy is aware that the Government of Panama has approved in-bound flights from the United States to Panama to provide Panamanian citizens and other qualified travelers the opportunity to travel to Panama.  Questions about qualifications necessary and approval for passengers on these flights should be directed to the Embassy of Panama, in Washington, D.C.  The U.S. Embassy in Panama will continue announcing all flights approved by the Panamanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for departure to the United States.

NOTE – With many seats still available on the June 3 Spirit Airlines flight and the June 10 Copa airlines flights, we are not planning any additional humanitarian flights to the United States at this time.  We encourage you to purchase your tickets as soon as possible to ensure you are able to return to the United States.  We encourage you to be prepared to remain in Panama for the next 30-60 days, or perhaps more, if you are unwilling or unable to take these flights.

The currently authorized, upcoming humanitarian flights are:

·     June 3 United Airlines (SOLD OUT), departing Panama City's Tocumen International Airport at 12:30 p.m. for Houston, TX, to arrive at 4:39 p.m.

·     June 3 Spirit Airlines, departing Panama City's Tocumen International Airport at

1:00 p.m. for Fort Lauderdale, FL, to arrive 5:00 p.m.

·     June 10 Copa Airlines, departing Panama City's Tocumen International Airport at 7:00 a.m. for Washington, D.C., to arrive 12:47 p.m.

For additional information about these flights and to make reservations please contact Spirit Airlines and Copa Airlines directly.  Copa began ticket sales for this new flight on Thursday, May 28.  The Embassy encourages you to check their website regularly for updates.

For flights that are full, continue checking directly with the airlines (United's website at https://www.united.com/, or Spirit's website at https://spirit.com/) for any openings due to cancelations.

There are no guarantees for these flights or the space available.

The Embassy encourages interested U.S. citizens and LPRs to purchase early and forward your purchase confirmation email to the Embassy immediately at PanamaCityUSCitizen@state.govso that we can assist you with the issuance of salvoconducto passes

The Embassy will continue its efforts to identify and seek approval for future humanitarian flights to the United States as long citizens indicate the desire to evacuate.

Messages to U.S. citizens with updates on repatriation flights are sent daily to citizens living in Panama while the Embassy is assisting with approved flights from Panama to the United States.  Messages providing updated COVID-19 case numbers and information about the measures taken to combat COVID-19 in Panama will now be sent once per week, unless there are significant changes requiring immediate updates.
