BCP remodeling and first production of 2013 season

Dear Patrons of the Boquete Community Theatre:

We could use your help to complete the various projects in the works.

Wednesday the 26th of December, we return to building the new theatre seating, designed to give you the best possible views of the stage and we can use a few extra hands to help finish up the projects.

We need to prepare the foyer for a new paint job and move some items around.  We plan to move the beautiful BCP bar and certainly could use a few extra backs to help with this project.

For COSI, our first production of the 2013 season, we need volunteers for the house crew, back stage and the bar.

Needed:

1)      An assistant director for the production.

2)      A stage manager.

3)      Lighting and sound techs to run production lights and sound.

4)      A costume person to coordinate the look and design of costumes.

5)      A make-up person to assist with make-up.

Cosi tickets will be on sale at Mail Box Etc. and at the Tuesday Market.

Season tickets will go on sale at the market ONLY on Friday the 28th of December.

We have assembled a wonder cast of actors and many of them are new to BCP productions.  The show is funny and very entertaining and we hope to see you there for this production and indeed for the entire season.

Please check out our web site at www.bcpboquete.com

We look forward to your continued support and a great Season for 2013.

Thank You,

Jim Hatch

Artistic Director

Once again, we are at that time of year when we pause to give our thanks for the many blessings we have received. We wish you all a joyous Christmas and Holiday season and for good health in the coming year.

Now, for a little commercial. As you know, we have a new Board and I am so pleased to say that we are blessed with a very talented group of people who are dedicated to the improvement and advancement of BCP.  Our Theater is undergoing many changes with new raised seating, and a new curtain track that will allow us to open the curtain in unison.

After the first show, the stage will be dropped to approximately 6" height. When in the area, please do not hesitate to stop and have a look. All positive comments are appreciated by the many who are working hard to make your Theater experience as pleasant as possible.

Season tickets will be available on December 28 at the Theater. Individual show tickets will be available at MailBoxes or the Theater.

This is your theater and we ask for your support by patronizing the facilities.

Have a very warm and happy Holiday and may all your wishes come true.

For the Board, Function Managers and all volunteers who donated time and talent,

Bob Schmucker

President

Hi Alex, I want to thank you for all of your support of BCP in the past.  The new Season is upon us and unfortunately your Membership has expired.  We certainly need and don't want to lose your support so if you want to renew your Membership, I am at the Tuesday Market every week and will be glad to give you a new card.  If for some reason you do not wish to renew, please let me know and I will take you off my list.

Talented people needed - Producer and Assistant Director

BCP is looking for a Producer and an Assistant Director for the production of "Cosi" which will be produced in January, 2013.

Louis Nowra has written a terrific play about theatre, madness, illusions, sanity, life: it's a big, splendidly Australian epic. Set in a mental institution in 1970, Cosi offers up a world of the most extraordinary, ordinary people.

Please contact Jim Hatch, the director, right away at: directorbcp@fastmail.fm

Thank you.

Fwd: Join the search for Ed Moyan

Join the search for Ed Moyan

A number of people are meeting tomorrow Monday, Nov 12 at 9:30am in El Reys parking lot near the Pio Pio. Each will be assigned areas around and in Coronado. Please join us if you can. We are asking anyone that you think of who may want to help.

We would like to have at least two people per car. We have flyers we would like distributed to to jardins, fondas, ferreterias and mini-supers along the roadside. You can download the flyer below. It would be great if each person coming could print out 20 copies or so to bring along with you.

I appreciate all the help I can get.

Regards,

Ruth Alchemy
