[News Boquete] Tender Beef, Free Sourdough Starter, and Thai Food check out this weeks newletter!

Great afternoon everyone!!

This week is looking great!!  The roads are a little bit smoother and the sun is shining a little bit longer.  I love the change of seasons....  We have been trying to organize an end of the year cooking schedule as we have been getting lots of requests for many different items.  This week we are making Thai Green Curry which has been one of the most requested items as of recent.  This Spicy Thai dish is gluten free, carb free, dairy free, and you'll never miss them.  This dish is blasted with flavor and as with most Thai dishes it is also spicy (not for the faint of heart).  Generally served with jasmine rice Green curry is packed with red bell peppers, onions, green onions, garlic, cilantro, and zucchini as well as chicken thighs and chicken breast meat.  Very authentic and very delicious!

We will also be making Chicken Fried Steak Texas Style!!.  This wonderful fried steak is extremely tender and very flavorful.  We process the beef in such a way that the end result is a delicious breaded tender piece of steak that's perfectly seasoned and ready for your dinner plate.  This steak goes through a two-stage tenderizing process.  The first stage is choosing the right cut, cutting it correctly, then delicately tenderizing it by hand.  This process takes about 4 hours and is the foundation for the next step.  The next and final step is the preparation of buttermilk.  We take 150 pounds of sliced steaks and coat each piece with fresh buttermilk and let them marinate for 16 hours.  The end result is so ridiculous that you won't believe you are eating Panamanian Beef!!  I spend so much time making this dish perfect because it is my absolute favorite dish of all time.  Fried steak and gravy!!!! The way we serve this dish is 12 ounces of steak and a side of country gravy.  Portioned for 2 adults this dish comes as close to home as you're going to get.  Be sure to get yours while we have some.

Don't forget we also have plenty of side dishes on the menu this week.  We made a fresh batch of Southern Cheddar Buttery Grits, Mexican Buttermilk Corn Bread, Rice Pilaf, Jasmine Rice, Banana Bread, and lots more

This week we wanted to make a video for our You Tube Channel on how to fry a Turkey.  Back home in Louisiana we used to fry a turkey a few times a year.  It's been almost 9 years since I've fried a turkey and we thought this week would be a great week to do that!!  If you want to see how that went be sure to visit my you tube channel and see my latest video...  The video will be called "How to Fry a Turkey indoors".   It will most likely be posted on Sunday afternoon.  We also made a video on how to smoke a watermelon to make it look like a country ham.  That was ridiculous.  Be sure to check out our You Tube channel for the latest crazy videos that we post!!

To place an order simply complete the online ordering process and make sure you submit the order when complete. (this is the step most commonly missed)  You will get an order number immediately after completing your order.  I make all deliveries on Monday between 2 and 5 and if you are picking up at our location please come by Monday between 2 and 5 as well.  Tuesday we are at the BCP between 9 and noon and if you chose to pick up there we are located in the end of the theater hallway by the rear exit.
