Tuesday, Sept 1– Dra. Luz Graciela Joly, professor at UNACHI in David. Luz is an anthropologist and her interests are Petroglyhs and the indigenous of Panama among many more. She has written several books on these subjects. She will speak on the Ngabe Bugle culture and history.
The Ngäbe-Buglécomarca (roughly, "reservation" though signifying a high degree of administrative autonomy) was formed in 1997 with lands from the provinces of Bocas del Toro, Chiriquí, and Veraguas.
Gustavo Gallardo the founder of the ngabe-bugle dance group 15 years ago will accompany Luz along with 3 other ngabe dancersto demonstrate the jeguidance which tells the story of a famous ngabe myth.

Meet Gypsy. Pure beauty on the inside and out. She is among the elite of tenderness. When I rescued her she had severe lacerations around 80% of her neck. Without sedation, she let the Vet shave her and clean and dress her wounds. She is currently in a foster home with other dogs, cats, goats and chickens She gets along with them all. Completely calm and loving. She is around 2 years old. About 80% Husky. It would take about 5 minutes to fall in love with my Gypsy. She will be spayed at the clinic on August 30th and then she will be ready for her forever home.

I've been asked to create a program for the BCP Tuesday Meeting to acquaint people with the variety of trips to be enjoyed throughout Panama. So many newcomers say they want to travel around the country, but aren't sure where to go, how to get there or what there is to do there.
This is a monumental undertaking, and based on the fact that I will be gone all of October on vacation, the need for research and an available meeting date, this won't take place until November.
