Have you visited the Biblioteca de Boquete? Many exciting things are happening at the library.  Come for a look at this fantastic building, and while there you can: · Check out the large collection of books in both English and Spanish. We currently have over 9,600 items. · View the latest art display in the 3rd floor art gallery,and · Enjoy a coffee from the café while surfing the web on the free wi-fi.     The library is open Mon. - Sat. from 10am - 7pm

Amigos de la Biblioteca! This group of library lovers/supporters formed last month with the intent to promote the library and raise funds for its continued operation.  It will take many friends to help ensure the library’s success.  Current officers include:              Tracy Hallen—President              Marjorie Ramos Sarner—Secretary              Deb Eisberg—Treasurer We would love you to join our group.  If you are interested in becoming an “Amigo de la Biblioteca” or have ideas for fundraising activities and other library events, please email us at:  amigosbiboquete@gmail.com

By the Numbers   · Opened doors to the public February 4, 2012 · More than 9,600 books in collection · 1500+ library cards issued—80% to the Panamanian community · On average, 50 computer users visit the library daily (users are limited to 30 min of use when others are waiting) · Over 1000 books are checked out each month · Over 5 artists have shared their work in the gallery · Dozens of area schools have brought nearly 300 students for a library tour and story time. · 4 authors have shared their work through “Meet the Author”
