On Sunday October 27, our final clinic of the year, Amigos de Animales spayed or neutered 199 animals, 117 dogs and 82 cats. This was a record day in a year of records as we celebrated our 5000th animal in May. We had seven vets working, including our friend Dr Dan Evers who worked along side Drs Tello, Cesar, Aron and Dras. Erika, Kimberly, and Raquel.
The day started off with a bang as we experienced an earthquake around 10:30. We all stood in awe feeling the big old barn that is El Cacho shake and rattle and roar. That certainly got everyone's attention!
It has been a great year for Animales and we would like to thank each and every one of our volunteers and donors for your fantastic support. Thanks to you all, we are about to finalize our purchase of property in Alto Boquete that will allow us to build our very own facility. 2014 will be a big year for Animales and we are looking forward to setting more records and reaching more animals in Boquete and the surrounding communities.
