Hello all .. just putting out a feeler to see if we have any folks in the area that are interested in Contradancing. We have the makings of a string band that plays Irish, Scottish and Old Time dance music, and if we could find a "caller" we just might be able to start something up.
Contradancing is a Folk Dance, done in pairs but with changes in partners. Similar to Square Dancing .. also referred to as Barn Dancing. You might want to check out You Tube by entering Contradancing and watch a few videos.
