[News Boquete] Geology field trips

Two more field trips are planned for this season.

Monday, May 27 there will be a local trip.  This is an introduction to the landscape around the Boquete area and an explanation of the impact of the volcano on our geology.  This is a half day trip.
Friday, June 7 will be the final trip of the year.  This trip will be to the Caldera petroglyphs and the park in Gualaca, which is rich in fossils and a very unusual polyclastic flow.  This trip will take the better part of a day.
Both trips are free of charge but cars and drivers are essential.  The field trips are provided by Dr. Paul Myers, emeritus professor of Geology at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.  To register email:  welthyh@gmail.com.  Please include the full names of all participants and if you have a car and are willing to drive.  More information will be provided upon registration.
