Our statement about certain allegations:

Dear friends,

It has come to our attention that there are rumors or gossip around our beloved community, suggesting or alleging that we, Javier and Magaly, have done an "improper" use of donations received for our Dog Shelter. Nothing further from the truth. 

Our shelter is and has been operating above and beyond with limited resources. As a matter of fact, we have been obligated to even acquire products, medicine, food for our animals by even using our own source of income because the needs in our shelter are so massive, that the donations we receive are never enough and way under the quantity of expenses we have every single day. Spreading rumors like this is an absolute slander without zero evidence, just a nasty and unfair attack against us, because our sole purpose in life is to take care of our animals and make a contribution to the community. 

There are also some comments suggesting that we don't take proper care of our animals, which is also FALSE. Our doors are open to all those who want to visit us and see for yourselves.

Regarding our finances, we have a strict monthly bookkeeping of all the donations (monetary and in products), with all the expenses made every single month. Our numbers are always supervised and reviewed by two of our advisors. These numbers will be also available at your request, to those interested in knowing the truth. You all will be surprised on how we manage to run our complex daily operations.

People that really know us, know what we've been through and they know that all these allegations are nothing but an inhuman attack. Our lives and how we conduct ourselves is our best testimony. We teach this to our son every day: Be good and do good!

In any case and because our reputation is the most important thing we have, we have decided to seek for legal representation to handle this situation when it belongs, the Court system of the Republic of Panama.

In the spirit of honesty, it is important for us to disclose with you our friends, that there is an ongoing investigation against us, for an alleged "False Statement" made by us. Nothing related to any improper behavior, whatsoever, but again, just another inhuman attack trying to take away the most valuable thing in life, our freedom. We will let the authorities handle this situation and we will not make any further comments about this. We have done nothing wrong, we have no malice intent in our hearts and we have never caused harm to anyone.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to all the good friends that have come forward to support us. We love you and we are blessed to have you all as friends.

We will continue our mission to help our four legged friends no matter what comes against us. The truth always prevails and our hearts are at peace.
