and I apologize if I am forgetting someone and others who dropped by the little store and donated whom I have no way of knowing.  I am overwhelmed by the generosity of those who reached out in their pockets and in their hearts and helped out.

We started out with 3 needy families.... those families were able to get cash assistance for the store, merchandise inventory for the store, a full year of tuition and supplies for school, toys, clothes, food. Ten kids benefited from that effort, a new bike was purchased to fulfill the dream of a gorgeous little girl, a push cart, a play pen, a walker..... nutritive food baskets were given and Basty was able to cover her loan payment in arrears. For this THANK YOU  many times over. You are all angels for these people and they are forever grateful. The look in the kids' eyes was priceless.

We were pointed out in the direction of two indigenous families who lived in below acceptable conditions. One family who lives in a makeshift home with tin walls and roof, and 12 kids to feed and another one right across from one of our favorite restaurant´s (Mango´s), Today, Connie, my husband and myself were able to deliver shoes, clothes, toys and most importantly, food....... She could attest to the happiness of all children.... so unbelievable, they ran and immediately put on their shoes, they had wide smiles, bright happy eyes, toys, and Food!!! We provide every basket with rice, lentils, oil, canned luncheon meats, sardines, flour, oats, different types of creams (corn, plantain, rice, strawberry, orange, banana), baby food, powdered milk, cereals, juices, pastas, seasonings and the list goes on and on......... and other ítems such as toiletries for their much needed personal care. Their gratitude was priceless... one of the women is pregnant with her 6th child and Ms. Connie has offered to bring a playpen that will doublé as a bed for the newborn... I also got some newborn clothes included in today´s delivery....

The needs of this community who has welcomed us are immense and much work is needed.

Mr. Charbit has very generously offered to fund an outreach program that will provide a healthy breakfast to the kids of the elementary school of Los Naranjos (right near where many of us buy our eggs). I have already met with the school officials and they are so excited and looking forward to this wonderful opportunity to help out more than 150 children out of the 400 who attend this elementary school, who have to walk several kilometers to get to the school, often in the rain without any umbrellas, often with no shoes, and 150+ who do not eat breakfast and are labeled extreme poverty or special needs............ THANK YOU Mr. Charbit for this generous gesture with the community.  We are going through all the steps to make this in compliance with all laws and guidelines and are even looking to open a small community center where the kids can receive tutoring, play, where we can assess their needs for clothing and shoes and healthcare and get a hot meal. Any voluntary help in tutoring would be greatly appreciated. Our goal is to begin the program on the first day of school.

Thank you all........................... We are able to help out 5 families and make over 20 children happy this Holiday Season. I cannot thank you enough and I am sure your kindness is Heaven sent to those in need.

Olga
