Encenia is a member of Fundacion Pro Integracion where she has received medical assistance for her cleft lip. She lives with her family (mother Hermalinda, sister Yesenia, and brothers Rodney and Omar) in a one room farm quarters building with no electricity. Her father can get mostly seasonal farm work in his efforts to support his family.

The day this photo was taken, the children had their faces painted at a holiday party at FPI where each received a gift. They were happy and excited on such a fun day! Their mother, Hermalinda, is grateful for the food supplied to the family by Buenos Vecinos de Boquete.
