[News Boquete] Note from the U.S. Warden re Embassy outreach

As this is only eight days away, I want to emphasize several things before folks start making appointments.

The only two services offered are notarizations, passport renewals for minor children, and lost/stolen passport replacements. There will be NO adult passport renewals at this event. Adult passport renewals can be done by mail, via DHL, at Mailboxes, Etc. I believe a representative of Mailboxes will be at the event to guide you.

There will be NO federal benefits services at this event. Federal benefits have been moved to the Costa Rica Embassy. This includes Social Security, Medicare, and Proof of Life issues.

You MUST schedule an appointment.

Payment can be made only by certified check, payable to "U.S. Embassy Panama" (exactly), for the exact amount of the service.

Please read the Embassy notice carefully. Do not make an appointment if your need is for services not offered. If your need qualifies for this outreach and you obtain and appointment, be prepared. There will not be time to correct errors in paperwork.
