This Tuesday is labor day here in Panama so if you find you favorite store or bank closed for the day then you know why. In Honor of Labor Day we decided to work twice as hard!! What does that mean. Well we remodeled our kitchen to represent a "Cocina Mexicana" and got to making Tamales!! A true labor of love. This week on our menu we will be offering several varieties of Authentic Mexican Tamales!! In addition to Tamales we will have Overstuffed Mexican Burritos that are completely out of control! Tender and juicy smoked chicken, Sautéed Vegetables, Spanish Rice, refried beans, jalapenos, olives, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, and Mexican salsa all wrapped in a flour tortilla! WHOA!

Well this week (prior to this email) we were offering delicious pork carnita tamales but they have sold completely out already. This week we were also offering 3 gourmet New York Style Cheesecakes. Toasted Coconut Cheesecake, Chocolate Mocha Layered Cheesecake, and Blueberry Tart Cheesecake, but those have been completely sold out as well. Next week members on our list will have the first choice at some really cool and new items that we are making. Next week for the first time ever we will have an entire line of our artisan cured meats available. The quantities will be limited and will include the following. Spicy Capocollo, Fennel Capocollo, Thyme Capocollo, Pepper Lonzino, Herb Lonzino, Bresaola, Finnochiona Salami (fennel), Spicy Cachiatorre Salami, Herb Rolled Panchetta.
In addition to that which is already HUGE we will be offering 4-5 NEW flavors of Gourmet New Your Style Cheesecakes. (It's my favorite if you haven't guessed). The flavors will include; Honey Lavender Cheesecake, Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake, Key Lime Swirl Cheesecake, Mango Habanero cheesecake, and the elegant traditional Plain Vanilla Cheesecake (if I can get the right ingredients I might try to make a Turtle Cheesecake and a Raspberry white chocolate Brule cheesecake!!). Cheesecake requires patience, precision, and technique to achieve that perfect consistency, texture, and mouth feel. It requires the right temperature, humidity, and perfect timing. Of all the desserts that we make this is most certainly the "diva" of desserts!! It is our pleasure to bring this to you.
We have also been working on creating a youtube channel where we upload videos from the kitchen and from our projects. It is completely random and full of crazy projects. I'm just now learning the in's ands out's of video and editing so as time progresses our videos will get much better. If you want to check out our channel click this link below. 2 Guys & A Cooler YouTube Channel
Finally there are some big changes at the BCP. This week 2 Guys & A Cooler is the recipient of a wonderful blessing. At the BCP Market we are getting moved to the theater alley all the way in the back (right next to Jerry the Knife Sharpener). After much consideration and deliberation the Management at the BCP have made a well thought out decision to stream, line the mercado. In this decision we will be occupying the larger space all the way at the end of the hallway where the theater is. This is such wonderful news as we will now no longer have to worry about falling off the ledge anymore!! We will also be able to expand our current operation to provide a more fluid and expedient shopping experience. In the 7 years of us doing this it seems that we are always working on a secret project that takes months to materialize. I can't wait to share with you our newest line. It's ridiculous!
So if you have never heard of 2 Guys & A Cooler let me briefly explain what we do. We are a family run business located in Boquete that provides a variety of different food options for you to choose from. We know that the cost of going out to eat is steadily increasing as Boquete is becoming a town full of gourmet restaurants. Our delivery service (yours truly) will be happy to bring your meals out to you with a smile!! We deliver on Mondays between 1 and 5pm. We are at the BCP Market on Tuesday between 9 and 12noon or you can come by our location on Mondays between 2 and 5 and pick up your order (with a 10% discount)..
