Presenter: Charlotte Lintz

With a Master's Degree as a Cardiovascular Clinical Nurse Specialist, Charlotte worked in Critical Care & as a Critical Care educator for over 25 years.  After going back to school to be a Nurse Practitioner (at age 50) she worked for a Cardiovascular Physician group in Orlando, Florida.  She then moved to Gainesville, Florida, and was a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner for WWII Veterans until "retiring" in Boquete to volunteer for Boquete Health & Hospice and....rescue dogs.  If you have any skinny, starving, injured dogs or puppies, Please DON'T bring any more to her house!  5 are enough!

Tuesday, June 4 – A Small Scale Plastic Recycling Factory for Boquete - Holly Day Smith, environment aficionado, will discuss a viable means to process plastic waste in meaningful ways that are underway for Boquete.  The primary focus will be on the shredding, compression, and creation of product(s) with a brief look at the entire life cycle. The main part of the shredding unit is anticipated to be on display for the talk.

 

Holly is semi-retired after 30 years in IT including the US Navy and 25 years as a program/project manager.  Boquete is now home and she has found a way to give back to the community while taking care of the environment at the same time!

Tuesday, June 11What is grief?  How do we handle it?

Donna O'Brien, former grief counselor, will present a brief discussion of Grief, how we experience it, and when it becomes a problem for us.

Tuesday, June 18 Dr. Michael Hillyer discusses the technique of dry needling. Dry Needling completely resolves chronic pain over 90% of the time. Dr. Hillyer, a retired chiropractor with

45 years of experience, will explain the most recent research info on pain, pain treatments and demonstrate/teach self-treatment for many painful conditions that will improve the pain in a matter

 of seconds.
