[News Boquete] DONATÓN 2023 - For the homeless animals

Costumed Pet Contest on Sunday, registrations $5 donation

Panama, April 2023

25,000 kgs of food for dogs and cats, and 1,000 sterilizations is the goal of the DONATON for homeless animals 2023 in its 4th edition, a nationwide event on the 22nd and 23rd of  April, this activity is organized by Pets World Magazine and this year has the support of the First Lady Office. 

Thousands of unsterilized and at-risk street animals do not have to eat, there are more and more abandonment, mistreatment and animal cruelty increases, the objective of this annual event is to provide support to the dogs and cats.

This initiative seeks to support throughout Panama more than 150 rescuers, organizations and foundations that contribute to giving a better quality of life to animals at risk of death, and who need all the donations that they can receive from citizens, private companies and the National Government.

During the DONATON you can donate: dog and cat food, medicines and cash for sterilizations, vaccinations and veterinary care.

This year the DONATON has 7 Official Headquarters and we invite you to visit the Official Headquarters in Boquete:

Domingo Médica Park (next to the Municipal building) – Boquete; where the "non profit" Organization Dejando Huellas Boquete together with the support of the Boquete City Hall, in addition to receiving donations, will have activities such as: pet exhibitions, music, pet costume contest, magician, adoption, talks, bazaar of entrepreneurs, artistic presentations, among others.
