[Noticias] Upcoming Culinary Events, including a "Gourmet Get-away"!

Thursday, June 9 - 11:00am - "Panamanian Beef: From Tough to Tender", presented by Professional Chef Juan Linares. If you'd like to learn how to take ordinary, tough cuts of local beef, and turn them into tender and delicious dishes, you won't want to miss this very special class.  You'll also be using fruits and vegetables from our local market to make side dishes to accompany any meal. This event will be held in the Kent kitchen, El Santuario, Boquete.  $30 fee includes demonstration by guest butcher, hands-on class, recipe booklet, beef charts, Juan's signature cocktail, and full-course dinner with wine.  Limited seats available now at www.boquetegourmet.com.

Saturday, June 11 - 5:30pm
- "Underground Dinner Kamehameha-Style", presented by Host Chef Renny Kranich and as "sous-chef", the Boquete Gourmet.  The location will be disclosed to diners the day prior to the event.  This is King Kamehameha Day, so the menu will celebrate his life.  You won't want to miss this world-class dining experience!  Reserve at www.boquetegourmet.com, click June 11 on the calendar.
 

Thursday, June 23 - 11:00am - "All About French Bread", presented by artisan baker, Mort Rabkin.   This is a class to practice basic bread-making skills, from measuring and kneading to baking in Mort's clay oven.  Learn to vary your ingredients, and to create "artsy" breads using one classic recipe.   The $25 fee includes hands-on class, recipe booklet, lunch with wine, and 2 loaves of French bread to take home.  This event will be held at Mort's home in Boquete, near the town center.  Book your tickets at www.boquetegourmet.com.

Thursday, June 30 - 9:00am - "GOURMET GET-AWAY", including transportation by Coaster bus from Boquete to David and return, hotel stay at the New Cuidad de David Hotel, kitchen treasure hunt, full lunch buffet including 3 desserts, cooking demonstration by hotel's head Chef, a cocktail party hosted by Itanelo's Wine Bar at the New Best Western Hotel, then back to Cuidad's Stylo Restaurant for dinner from their new gourmet menu, live jazz in the hotel's lounge, overnight stay with breakfast buffet, and more.  $125 per person, double occupancy.  Register now at www.boquetegourmet.com, only 28 seats now available.
