Thanks to the immense and continued efforts of our volunteers and vets, 48 dogs and 24 cats were sterilized in yesterday's clinic.
We took in $359 from owners of the animals and received $20 in donations. Since we pay our vets $10 per dog and $5 per cat, you can see why we still have fundraising activities and really appreciate donations. Thank you Boquete for your continued support of our cause as hopefully one day there will be no unsterilized unwanted animals on our streets. Look for coming events such as our Venta de Patio Sale, August 14, 2011 and Bid 4 Boquete in early February 2012. Right now we are collecting items for the Venta de Patio. As you clean out your closets, bodegas, extra storage areas, bring your items to the TMM or to Curvas in Alto Boquete. This is a wonderful event for all concerned. We will also be selling plants as well as donated baked goods. Keep an eye open for announcements.
Again, thanks to all our our volunteers for the energy spent in helping us at the clinic. Our next clinic is June 26 at the Amigos office behind the Fundadores hotel. Call Jessica at 6563-8686 or email her: boqueteanimales@gmail.com for an appointment. Together we are making a HUGE difference. Ruby McKenzie Founder and President, FundaciĆ³n Amigos de los Animales.
