Dear Boquete residents. Planning for the Jazz and Blues Festival 2013 is well underway, and I am organizing the catering and hospitality for backstage areas again. A small dedicated clutch of people worked very hard and long last year to help me bring it together, and I am hoping for this festival to ease some of that load by appealing to the generosity of your wonderful community. We are expecting around 50 musicians, plus our own backstage crews. That figure would be confirmed closer to the date. If anyone out there would be prepared to make fresh pre-cooked dishes, some to bring in on Saturday morning, and others to bring in on Sunday morning to help feed the masses it would be most welcome. They would be re-heated, (if necessary) onsite. I am looking for about 6 dishes for each day, so if there would be about a dozen of you wonderful people who would offer to make a dish each that would be fabulous. It would not be necessary to have them all hot, cold pastas, rice dishes etc would be excellent, chicken wings etc would be re-heated before serving. Sweets (cupcakes etc) would also be awesome. Lane Suarez made cupcakes for us last year and they went down an absolute treat.
