Hello Friends and Members,
On this, our last gathering of the year, Mary Beth White is presenting a fun art project. In her words:
"I have wanted to do this group project for over ten years . . . AND NOW IS THE TIME SO COME PREPARED TO DO A LITTLE PAINTING. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BUT IT IS OK TO HAVE SOME. JUST BE PREPARED TO HAVE FUN!
We are going to create one or two nice sized paintings together as a group. I will provide a 6 X 8 inch canvas, acrylic paint, paper towels, plastic plates for a palate, and small cups for rinsing brushes. You can bring three or four small brushes for your own use or be 'stuck' with using the ones that Artworks will have available. You will need to wear clothes to paint in, so a fashion statement is not necessary.
I am delighted to have you join me in this project on the top floor at the beautiful Boquete library Friday, November 20th at 10:30 am."
In addition, Artworks new board member Mike Potts is participating in a project to provide food and toys to a Ngobe-Bugle village for Christmas. If you would like to add a contribution, please bring food or toy(s) to the November meeting for him to take and distribute. Food should consist of rice, beans, canned meat or canned fruit. They do not like canned vegetables so please avoid those. Any contribution, no matter how small, is appreciated.
