[News Boquete] Fwd: Help for the low income Panamanian families during the Holidays

Hello all!!!

 

Some of you I have been in contact with, some of you I have not since last year's Holiday season  and back to school time where many of you graciously and very generously donated for the low income local families of the Los Naranjos area. Last year we successfully adopted 7 families who benefited with clothes, shoes, toys and food during the Holidays, also 93 very poor children benefited with full school and PE uniforms in the Los Naranjos elementary school.

 

Last night, the principal of the Los Naranjos elementary (by Toledano) contacted me once again to ask for assistance to put together 20 Christmas baskets for extreme poverty families and some goodie bags for the children. As you may or may not know, I am in the US at the moment, therefore it is very hard to help out, except to send her my donation, however, I know that you guys have a tremendous heart and can perhaps lend a hand.

 

They need about $700 for the food baskets and figure another $200 for goodie bags. The principal of the school is Mirian Urriola de Justavino and her number is 6885 5834, she works with the Lions Club and is the at the Los Naranjos elementary school. You can reach her directly, and if language is an issue, I will happily coordinate and translate through whatsapp. Any help $1, $5, as little or as much as you can give, helps......

 

I know, one of you, frequently visits one of the indigenous families we started to help out last year....for this, I am forever grateful.

 

I am sorry I will not be in Boquete for the Holidays and will not be able to identify many families to adopt. I know of a taxi cab driver (Gabriel), whose ex wife left him with his 2 children (14 and 5), whom he is raising on his own and of little Daniella, whose grandma cleans houses for a living in Valle Escondido and around town to help support her and her daughter...... They can benefit from toys or Christmas presents. Please contact me and let me know if you are interested in obtaining their information. Any help WILL go directly to the families, you will receive their information and will meet them if you wish, even though I am in the US, I will happily coordinate any donations.

 

Please help these families have a little bit of hope and cheer during the season.
