March Family of the Month
Diana and her sweet little boys are the focus of this month's BVB outreach. Single mom, Diana is 22 years old raising four-year old Brayan and two-year old Angel with the minimal support of $80 a month from the boys' father and has no additional family support. She and the boys live in a single 10 X 12 foot rented room for $45 a month plus utilities.
Angel was born with a severe cleft palate, as evident in the photos. He also has asthma which prevents reconstructive surgery at this time and adds an additional monthly expense for expensive medicine. The doctors are waiting for Angel to outgrow the asthma and will perform surgery when it is safe to do so.
Even though Diana has minimal financial support she has a lot of courage and the love of her two adoring sons. Brayan holds up his new toy to mimic his little brother's bandaged lip. Buenos Vecinos de Boquete hopes that you'll support our mission to help feed families like Diana's.
