The latest Executive signed by President Laurentino Cortizo, and Health Minister Rosario Turner, has raised the limit imposed on the sale of alcoholic beverages during the Covid-19 pandemic.
It comes into effect on Monday, June 22. so post lockdown Sunday the government can expect a sharp increase in tax revenue as citizens raise a glass to lift their spirits or drown their sorrow.s
The decree also provides that it will only be sold in retail outlets and in closed containers. The sale of beverages will be for personal consumption at home
An earlier decree lifting the total ban on liquor sales said that only six units of beer, a bottle of wine or one of liquor of any type, could be sold per person -CHEERS !
