[News Boquete] Cloud Forest Botanicals, CBD, COVID19, etc.

Good morning Boquete!

So here we are...week what? of quarantine? And on it goes. The good news is that, so far, Boquete has been largely spared. Let's keep it that way. Be safe, be smart. Wear a mask (yes, we KNOW they are hot and uncomfortable. So is not being able to breathe because your lungs are collapsing!), wash your hands, and don't kiss and hug people strange to you!

At Cloud Forest Botanicals we continue to stress the importance of:
  • Fresh Air -- get out and MOVE. Take a walk. Plant a small herb garden. Sit naked in the sun for 20 minutes a day (pleasant way to get your Vitamin D3). (Don't mind the neighbors--they've got their own issues!).
  • Clean Food -- eat fresh vegetables, fruits, clean proteins. Avoid sugar, too MUCH alcohol, processed food products.
  • Vitamins and Minerals -- These are essential. D3, Vitamin C, Zinc, Magnesium Citrate and Potassium.
  • Exercise -- lots of online programs if you need that support. Yoga, Pilates, weights, Zumba. YOU TUBE is your FRIEND! And, while you're at it, keep MENTALLY ACTIVE. Take an online Spanish Class (we love Spanish Hour and Duolingo), sign up for free classes from Cousera, Harvard, Yale. Do Suduko, work a puzzle, read a book!
  • Rest -- try for 7-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night. If you can't do that, take a nap in the afternoon. Your body heals and gets stronger as you sleep.
  • Community -- This is harder for many, due to the lack of social contact. We know people who are using ZOOM to connect with family and friends and take exercise classes online. Have you tried it?
For extra systemic support, remember that Cloud Forest Botanicals hand blends a variety of traditional HERBAL TINCTURES and our signature line of HEMP & HERB combos (CBD, no THC). While research is still preliminary, early studies (Israel, Canada, Germany) show promising results that CBD can help to prevent or modulate the effects of COVID19. If you google CBD and COVID, you'll find these studies and media reports. Here's one: https://www.preprints.org/manuscript/202004.0315/v1
  • Sleep issues? SLEEP TONIGHT combines passionflower, lavender, ashwagandha with CBD for gentle relaxation and sleep. NO hangover in the morning.
  • Stress? Ashwagandha reduces cortisol levels (the stress hormone). Combined with CBD in our proprietary formula CHILLOUT, symptoms of anxiety and depression maybe reduced. Here's a recent unsolicited testimonial:
Dear Elizabeth and Dianne,
I have been using  your CHILL OUT tincture for about a week, and it has really helped with my energy, ability to focus, and mood.  I had been feeling very mentally foggy, low energy, and anxious (COVID-19 and politics-induced).  This tincture has helped me feel much more normal.  It worked better and faster than I would have ever expected.  THANKS SO MUCH for your recommendation and your fine product!
All the best,
C. W.
