Boquete's DogCamp's goal is to help abandoned dogs reach good health so that they can be placed in loving foster care, or better yet, a forever home. DogCamp has two types of dogs they devote their work to:
Fur-ever Dogs - These fur-ever dogs live their life freely and happily at DogCamp but unfortunately due to situations they have endured they display aggressive, pack-like behaviors unsuitable for adoption.
FOSTER / ADOPTIVE DOGS
These dogs once spayed/neutered and in good health are seeking folks willing to foster or adopt.
At any one time DogCamp can house up to 35+ dogs happily enjoying large acreage where they roam and play, free of chains, ropes and cages. They are given constant love, care and attention. The work is intensive and frankly expensive. This is where you can help. Keep in mind that these dogs are from our community who would otherwise roam the streets, hungry, sick and continue to procreate more homeless animals. The work that Malagy and Javier do with these dogs is a service to the community and we need to support them in anyway we can.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP
THE FUR - EVER SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
This program is designed for folks willing to give a monthly donation of $30.00 . This donation will provide dog food, vaccines, medication, vitamins, the cost of keeping a clean bed/ a clean area, The sponsor is coupled with a specific Fur-ever dog and DogCamp will send pictures of their 'special dog' every month with the information regarding their sponsor dog.
PAWS FOR THE CAUSE MARKET PLACE
Once the Tuesday Market reopens there are two locations where one can help DogCamp. At TapOut, to the side of the parking lot and entrance, we will maintain a table where you can donate dog food, medicine, blankets, money. On occasion we will have a dog at the booth for foster/adoption consideration.
The BCP Tuesday Market, newly located at Arco Iris, directly across from TapOut in the Fairgrounds will be home to a new marketplace booth for Dog Camp. This booth will offer gently used and new donations as well as many other items for purchase such as T Shirts, keychains, mugs, and more.
Please contact Leslie McPeak (lesliemcpeak@yahoo.com) 63661945 if you have nice quality used/new items to donate to DogCamp's marketplace booth.
DOG FOOD DONATIONS
You can donate dog food at anytime by contacting Dog Camp directly with your donation, dropping it off at Tap Out Tuesday Market, or purchasing dog food at La Granja Boqueteña (next to Gago). The store will notify DogCamp of your donation by name and will assure delivery of the food.
VOLUNTEERING
Whether it's working on a special project, building a play structure or simply playing with the dogs, volunteers are welcome with open arms. Please email or call DogCamp to notify them of your interest in volunteering.
