[News Boquete] Aged Care Program in Boquete

🌸 Community Announcement! 🌸

With more seniors choosing to call Boquete home, there's a growing need for quality elder care services in our community. We at Rotary Club of Boquete Sunset are excited to help spread the word about a wonderful new initiative — though it's not a Rotary project, we believe it's a fantastic service opportunity for our town!

👵👴 An Aged Care Program is launching right here in Boquete! Compassionate, trained Panamanians will be available to assist elderly residents with daily living activities, especially during recovery from illness or injury.

The program is being organized as a charitable project for our community by Orit Pines, a seasoned professional with 15 years of experience running in-home health care and adult daycare services in Florida. Orit is also partially sponsoring the training for local caregivers to make this service possible.

✅ Training will be provided by an accredited vocational medical staffing academy and includes:

• First Aid

• Mobility equipment use

• Personal care and hygiene

• Medication reminders

• Meal assistance & recreational activities

After completing this two-day course, caregivers will receive official certification. All participants are carefully vetted, requiring a police clearance, high school diploma, and a clean bill of health.

👉 Here's how it works:
If you or a loved one need care, you'll pay a one-time training fee for your selected caregiver. After that, you'll work directly with your caregiver to arrange their services and schedule. Orit will guide you through the process and provide all the details.
