Good morning,
We are excited to announce that we have received a generous donation of a Tang-style caparisoned horse sculpture at the Handicap Foundation Thrift Store. The proceeds from the sale of this exquisite piece will support our programs for people with disabilities in the Boquete area.
This elegant sculpture is a finely crafted replica inspired by the legendary horse guardians of China's Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD). In traditional Tang funerary art, such horses were placed in tombs to symbolize the owner's power, status, and protection in the afterlife. This piece captures that same commanding presence, making it a sophisticated addition to any home, library, or office.
Design & Style:
- Caparisoned (saddled and draped) form, characteristic of Tang courtly tradition
- Sculptural, dynamic posture conveying strength and grace
- Ideal as a statement piece for entryways, mantels, or pedestal displays
