We’ve done the peeling and preparation. You just need a spoon.
Dear News Boquete
Turmeric is one of those foods many of us would like to use more often.
The trouble is that a fresh turmeric root still needs to be washed, peeled, grated, and prepared before dinner ever reaches the stove.
So when the turmeric harvest comes in, one of the things I make for my own kitchen is Bio Available Turmeric Paste.
We make it with fresh organic turmeric grown here on the estate, along with organic black pepper and organic coconut oil. The pepper and coconut oil help the body make better use of turmeric’s naturally occurring curcumin.
Then it goes into the refrigerator, ready by the spoonful. |

I add it to stir-fries and curries, stir some into warm tea, and use it anywhere I want the earthy warmth of fresh turmeric without having to prepare another root.
I even add a little to my dogs’ food from time to time. It is simply one of those useful jars that has become part of everyday life here.
And that is really the idea behind Simply Good.
We grow what the season gives us, prepare some of it while it is abundant, and make it easier to bring good food to the table.
The Bio Available Turmeric Paste is in this week’s catalog, along with the other foods and provisions coming from the estate right now.
Orders are open through Monday at 5:00 p.m.

We prepare everything during the week for Thursday shipping through Fletes Chavales or Uno Express for Friday pickup.

P.S. If turmeric has been sitting on your own list of things you mean to use more often, this may be the easiest place to begin. One jar in the refrigerator, and the work is already done. |
