| Photo: Ron Elkind We're almost there! The 2013 Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival is just a couple of days away! Day 1: Thursday Feb 28 It's gonna be a very busy day indeed, a day filled with loads of fun, laughter, and dancing to great music all day! 2pm -3pm: Boquete goes New Orleans! Come join us for the craziest, most colorful parade this town has ever seen! Dress up, dress down, wear whatever you want (but wear something!), paint your face and dance in the streets of Boquete! The parade will start at the BCP parking lot and will end at the Panamonte hotel. 3pm – 5pm: The parade will dance on in the garden of the Panamonte Inn with live music of the Rigoberto Coba quartet, hurricanes, and New Orleans style food. Admission $5 at the door. 7pm – 9pm: The show goes on! Come to the bar of the Panamonte Inn to get a free shot of the exquisite Panamonte XXV Reserva Preciosa, meet the Panama Red girl and the makers of this extraordinary rum. Shake hands with Hilary Hemingway (niece of Ernest) and Jeff Lindsay, author of the Dexter series. Dance to live music by Boquete's own Fantazy Jazzband. Admission $5 at the door. 9pm - ??? The days' not done yet! The Blues is in the house at Mike's Global Grill! Ron Hacker&The Hacksaws, the Bay area's hottest Blues band are going to bring the house down at Mike&Heidi's place with the first jam session of the festival. You'll never know who else will be joining the jam... A MUST for all hard-core bluesers! Admission $8 a the door. All admissions will help to finance the events and the festival! Too much fun? These are true gems, made by Tucan Tiles, a local tile shop right here in Boquete. They are selling for $20 a piece. We'll still have a few of the 2012 tiles available at the festival. A collector's package of both tiles is available for $35. As with our other merchandise we're not able to ship them abroad for cost reasons but you can order by email and we'll keep a copy for you at the festival venue.
