FESTIVAL OF FINE ARTS OF THE HIGHLANDS

To guarantee the professionalism of the Festival of Fine Arts of the Highlands the following rules have been established:

 1)   Bottom line.  All art of all categories are to be of a high calibre, preferably framed, and/or matted nicely and most important original by the artist.  No prefab anything allowed.,  Period.  No exceptions.  We are promoting this Festival of Fine Arts as just that.  Fine Arts.

2)    Set up  hours are Friday, April 5th from 7AM until 2PM.  Saturday and Sunday artists will also be able to set up from 7AM til 9AM when doors open to the public.  No setting up will be allowed after doors open to the public.  No exception.

3)   Please dress appropriately for the occasion.  Your appearance is important.  Remember you are dealing with potential buyers.  Friday evening of April the 5th dress code is semi formal.  But a nice pair of jeans and nice shirt is ok.

4)   Respect the Hotel property as well as the property of fellow artists.  Please do not litter, and be aware of inappropriate language use.

5)   The hotel and organizers of the Festival of Fine Arts would very much appreciate artists not over-indulging in alcoholic beverages that are offered.  And please do not arrive under any influence of excessive alcohol or any controlled substances otherwise you will not be allowed to participate.

6)  It is not allowed to bring food or beverages onto the hotel premesis.  The hotel has their own restaurant and bar to satisfy you.

7)   And PLEASE try to use professional cards/signs to advertise your works and spaces.  No torn cardboard scribbled on with magic marker for example will be tolerated.

8)   Costs for each space is $25.00, and there will be no commission charged for any sale an artist makes.  Your space is yours to set up, but please be aware of where the people will be walking amongst the panels so as not to obstruct the flow of people walking, or that anybody inadvertantly knocks down an artists work.
