Banks announce new Customer hours starting 1 April

            After the National Government announced the beginning of a total quarantine starting Wednesday April 1, member banks of the Panama Banking Association (Asociación Bancaria de Panamá – ABP), disclosed their new hours as of that date.

            According to a press release from the ABP, starting Wednesday, April 1, their office hours will be as follows:

·       Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday:  From 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

·       Thursday, Friday and Saturday:  From 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

"We reiterate our invitation that – when making your banking transactions or inquiries, you continue to take advantage of the benefits and practicality of digital channels, online banking, automatic tellers and call centers of each of our institutions"  highlighted the official press release. 

            In accordance with the measures of the  total quarantine announced by the Minister of Public Safety, Juan Pino, in his regular conference of Monday, March 30, women may exit to conduct their errands at supermarkets and drugstores on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; while men can  do so on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.  

            On Sundays all Panamanians must remain in their place of residence.

            Total quarantine is a measure taken by health authorities with the goal of containing the spread of  COVID-19 in Panama (COVID-19 en Panamá) which up to Monday March 30 had caused the death of 27 people and 1,075 reported cases nationwide.

Luego que el Gobierno Nacional anunciará el inicio de la cuarentena absoluta desde el 1 de abril, los bancos que forman parte de la Asociación Bancaria de Panamá (ABP), revelaron sus nuevos horarios a partir de esta fecha.

De acuerdo a un comunicado de la ABP, desde el miércoles 1 de abril, estos serán sus horarios:

• Lunes, martes y miércoles De 1:00 p.m. a 6:30 p.m.
• Jueves, viernes y sábado: De 7:30 a.m. a 1:00 p.m.

" Reiteramos la invitación a que, al momento de realizar sus transacciones o consultas bancarias, siga tomando ventaja de las bondades y practicidad de los canales digitales, banca en línea, cajeros automáticos y centros de atención telefónica de cada una de nuestras instituciones", destaca la comunicación oficial.

Con la medida de cuarentena absoluta que anunció el ministro de Seguridad, Juan Pino en la habitual conferencia del lunes 30 de marzo, las mujeres podrán salir a hacer sus diligencias a supermercados y farmacias los días, lunes, miércoles y viernes; mientras que los hombres lo harán los martes, jueves y sábados.

Los domingos todos los panameños deben permanecer en sus residencias.

La cuarentena absoluta es una medida de las autoridades de salud con el objetivo de contener la propagación del COVID-19 en Panamá, que hasta el lunes 30 de marzo ha provocado la muerte de 27 personas y reportado 1,075 casos a nivel nacional.
