Hello Food Lovers, Culture Enthusiasts, and Adventure Seekers!
February has been a whirlwind month filled with new ventures and exciting opportunities, and I'm thrilled to share the highlights with you! It's been one of the busiest months I've had in a long time, and I can't wait to tell you all about it.
A New Restaurant, A New Chapter
To kick things off, we've opened a brand-new restaurant! This has been a dream come true, and the support from all of you has been amazing. It's been a fulfilling challenge to create a space that reflects my culinary passion and brings the world's diverse flavors to your plate. Thank you for helping bring this dream to life with your visits and encouraging words.
Representing Boquete on the International Stage
This month, I had the honor of representing Boquete at an international conference hosted by International Living. I had the opportunity to showcase Boquete's unique beauty, culture, and, of course, its amazing food to a global audience. I've always believed that Boquete has so much to offer, and it's been incredible to see the world take notice of this special place.
A Dream Come True – Documentary Producer
Here's something that truly blew my mind: I was contacted to be a producer for a documentary series focused on dying languages! At first, the topic didn't seem too exciting, but as soon as food, culture, and history were added to the mix, I was all in. The documentary will focus on the Ngöbe-Buglé language, an indigenous language that is slowly disappearing. The language barrier in this community, especially in areas like medical care, is an issue that needs more attention, and I'm proud to be part of the team raising awareness.
Being able to combine my culinary expertise and love for culture in this project has been an unforgettable experience. The success of the documentary has led to more exciting opportunities, and I've been invited to work on future projects!
Exciting New Projects: Next Stop - Greece!
Now, we're gearing up for the next documentary on the ancient Cretan language in Greece! We are ready to dive into this exciting project, but we need a little help. The funds for this project are already in place, but to secure travel quickly, I'm reaching out for support. If you're interested in contributing, I'm offering exposure for your product in the documentary in return. If this is something you'd like to explore, please reach out. Your support will help bring this incredible project to life!
As a special thank you, I'm excited to offer a private prescreening of the Boquete documentary once it's completed! This is a unique opportunity to see the film before it's officially released. If you'd like to be added to the prescreening list, please send me your name and email address. I would love for you to be part of this special experience and see how your involvement has helped tell the story of Boquete.
New Ingredients & Kitchen Adventures
On top of all these exciting projects, I've been experimenting with new ingredients in the kitchen! Some have turned into big successes, while others have been a bit of a flop. But that's all part of the fun of culinary exploration. Stay tuned for more updates on these new experiments!
Thank you all for your continued support. Whether you've been with me since the beginning or are just joining in, I appreciate each and every one of you. Keep exploring, keep tasting, and keep enjoying the incredible world of food and culture.
Stay hungry for adventure,
Chris
