Boquete Flower and Coffee Fair marks 50 years

The Flower and Coffee Fair celebrates its its 50th edition from, January 12 until January 22, in the Boquete district, Chiriquí province.

For ten days, more than 200 exhibitors will receive visitors from all over the country and abroad to enjoy coffee and traditional Boquete desserts. and to observe the gardens that have been designed and organized. Crafts, folk dances, artistic presentations, and other activities will take place during the event, which will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The president of the Board of the Fair of Flowers and Coffee, Rodrigo Marciacq Lloyd said "this year there is a lot of enthusiasm to visit our fair. Hotel occupancy is at 100%, which represents an important economic injection for the place.

 Marciacq Lloyd said that about 150,000 people are expected. In 2022, the event had profits of around $10 million. Ticket prices remain at $2 for adults, $1 for retirees, and children under 12 are free.

[News Boquete] Boquete Handicap Foundation Thrift Store News

After an end of the year hiatus, we have re-organized and re-stocked the Thrift Store. Since Monday is a national holiday we will have the grand re-opening at 9 AM on Tuesday. [News Boquete] This week's featured books at the Handicap Foundation Book Table

Visit us this coming Tuesday at the Tap Out Market, 9 - 12. We have moved inside the old BCP theater room. Hundreds and hundreds of English language books to choose from. Most paperbacks are $1 and most hard covers are $2. You can also drop off your donated books and puzzles. Donations for our thrift store should be taken to the Thrift Store, Monday - Friday 9 - 2:30.

You can shop at our reorganized and renovated Thrift Store Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays (except this coming Monday is a holiday and we'll be closed) 9 - 2:30. We will have our grand re-opening on Tuesday at 9 AM. Located across the street from Chopsticks Restaurant in Alto Boquete.
