Meet Celestino, one of our clients! This wheelchair-bound 50 year man is shown with a thumbs-up and big smile with BVB food bags behind him at the Fundacion Pro Integracion.
Celestino suffered a motorcycle accident 10 years ago, and now is partially paralyzed, but that does not stop him from participating in the physical therapy sessions at FPI. He lives alone on a difficult road to traverse, and depends on FPI-funded transportation to get to the Saturday sessions. He has a sister and daughter who assist him the best they can. He does some at-home woodworking for a small income. He supervised the FPI's construction of a new building addition last year, and prides himself on being the repair man at FPI, where he has also hand-built many of the physical therapy items.
Celestino appreciates the monthly food provided by Buenos Vecinos de Boquete, as well as the services provided by the Handicapped Foundation (FPI). Together, both organizations have made this man's life more full and meaningful.
