A nearby house was abandoned. The people left one male dog, one female with 4 puppies, one female with 6 puppies, and one female with 7 puppies. All the adult dogs were chained and left to starve. The mother dogs had been so badly chained that the wire cut into their necks.
I brought the three mother dogs and all 17 puppies to an old man, Guillermo, who is very poor and lives under really bad conditions, he even has to carry water. But he is kind and took the dogs in. He lives close to my house, so I can go over and take care of the puppies. The puppies were filled with fleas and ticks. We cleaned them and made them clean bedding. One mama dog is terribly skinny and anemic. I gave her vitamins and beef liver.
HELP NEEDED
The puppies need puppy food, and the adults need food too. If you would like to donate food, please leave it at Bonnie's Curvas Bonita. Tuesday I will be at the BCP market with 3 puppies which already are 2 months old. They got sterilized and are ready to be adopted. They are adorable.
I am also asking for help for Guillermo. His fence that keeps the dogs from roaming needs to be strengthened so it won't fall down. Also he needs some repairs to his water line. We need a couple of handymen.
