[News Boquete] Thank you to volunteers

As  this year's co-chairs for the Children's Activities at Bid for Boquete Bonnie Adams and I, Germaine Sturtz want to send out a special thank you to the army of volunteers who worked to make the Children's Activities such a success.

Many of the volunteers worked for months in preparation for this event.  And there is no adequate way to express our gratitude.

First I would like to thank our husbands Mel Adams and Richard Sturtz for the multitude of favors they did just to keep things running smoothly.

We are especially grateful to our photographers Larry Wilkinson and Robert Brauns who went to bat for us.  Not only taking pictures on the day of the event but also locating photographic devices and materials that were necessary to the success of the project.

In addition I want to thank Cathy Doig for taking pictures constantly of the children and the whole community as they enjoyed themselves at Bid 4 Boquete.  The camera was practically glued to her forehead.  She must have 100's of terrific shots.

We are especially grateful to Orange Blossom a.k.a. Bev Hall.  Not only is she a talented face painter but her costume brightened our stage and she also made helpful suggestions for next year.  Our other face painters Renny Kranich and Jillian Collis cheerfully offered their services only a week before and did a superb job with the children.

This thank you wouldn't be complete without mentioning Susan Peterson and the Fundacion Pro Integracion.  Susan made sure that we had all the help we needed starting with three face painters who practiced for weeks to sharpen their skills.  These talented women are Josefina Fuentes, Lili Quiroz and Maricela Del Cid.

Those volunteers assisting with the Children's Activities were Migdalia Rios, Mariela Jimenez,Velkidia Gonzalez,  Jonathan Serrano, Chuck High and Loesje Sherwood.

Finally we would like to thank Emanuel Gonzalez for serving as our translator and announcer.

We are very appreciative of the services of all these big hearted people.
