[News Boquete] You Enjoyed My Classes - Now Introducing Boquete Security

Hello All,

Some of you know me and have attended my security / defense classes that I have held in the past several weeks. If you missed one of my classes, I plan on holding a few more in the coming weeks and months.

Because I have seen such a huge need for REALISTIC security, REALISTIC defense and REALISTIC training, we have opened up a new website called - Boquete Security - ( http://boquetesecurity.com )

On this site I will be sharing tips, tricks and everyday things that you can do to help improve your personal and as well as your home security. I am one who believes that by working together as a community, we can make Boquete a better, more safer place where all of us are part of the solution.

Like it or not, what antiquated security we now have in place is no longer functional. They are solutions of the past that dealt with a more docile foe.

Today we have a new foe and honestly speaking using air horns are a joke to them.

The wolves of today have become accustomed to this air horn idea and now these devices no longer scares them like it did in the past.

So are they still a functional security device that you would trust your life too?

Today we are battling wolves, and a can of air does not scare them anymore. We need to develop the sheepdog mentality and start biting back.

That is the only thing that will push back the wolves.

Realistic Home Security

I have already helped several home owners making recommendations that they themselves can improve upon and REALISTICALLY the home owner themselves can put into effect. The key is working in security layers and not just depend on a single security device.

Security In Action

ray-army1When I was serving in Special Ops, a group of us volunteered for special assignment in Germany guarding a new missile system called "Patriot." Many of you have probably heard of this. Back then Patriot was a new system with totally cutting edge technology. During these years the terror group/s Baader Meinhof / The Red Army Faction was blowing up US installations, and popular G.I hangouts.

This is why the US Army wanted Special Ops to be the ones guarding and acting as quick reaction forces. I was in charge of security for 2/43 Patriot Missile and when we came on board I changed the entire security plan that Air Defense Artillery (ADA) currently had in place. What I put in place was multiple layers of security & early warning devices like smoke grenades, flash bang grenades, and in a time of war I had other things in place that would detect and deter the enemy.

I also put in place multiple guard points that also acted as eyes and ears for the missile batteries and finally I had a quick reactionary force ready to attack on standby 24/7.

I share all this because once my security was in place, my missile batteries were never overrun by the "mock enemy" when they were tested. OH...Believe me, the "attacking forces" had the motivation with a reward of a 3 day pass for anyone breaking my security.

No one got their 3 day pass.

No one broke into my missile batteries.

No one got past my security. I have the special commendation medals to prove it too.

Implementing Security Here in Boquete

I was recently visiting one of our community members and here is what he said about my suggestions that I made to him...

anonymous personRay evaluated my home security and he taught me some new techniques about how to better defend my home and family. He walked my property, showed me the weak points, and gave me on the spot instruction. He didn't take a cookie cutter approach with a broad recommendation to get more motion sensors or more cameras. And, he didn't try to sell me another security system. For each specific weakness, he told me what the bad guys would likely do and provided a specific, unique, and customized (yes customized) solution on how to slow them down or discourage them from wanting to come closer. By customized I mean he showed me exactly what to do and how to do it.

Ray's approach to security does include suggestions using motion sensors for lights and the security system along with cameras and fencing. However, the focus of his evaluation was how to better secure my home and protect my family. He didn't waste my time by quoting meaningless statistics that I won't remember when a bad guy attempts to breach my home security. He did show me how I could use common tools found in my tool box, building materials like spikes and nails, and selective placement of barbed wire. I was so impressed, that I changed my approach to hardening the security around my property. Rather than installing another round of motion sensors, he showed me how a chest high fence selectively placed was a better approach. I say better because it was a visible psychological deterrent and would also keep dogs from wandering on to my property and setting off the alarms. I won't share his other specific recommendations that I've implemented for my property. I can say that uninvited visitors who try to peak in our windows will not have a happy experience. Ask him to visit your home, it is well-worth it.

I asked Ray not to use my name or location (he wouldn't have anyway). However, if you choose to use him, Ray may share my name with you.

I am going to be honest and say that one of my motivating reasons for starting Boquete Security is that "I" want to live in a safe and secure area myself.

There isn't anyone here that I know of that has my military, corporate, or government security experience. I have been involved in the security arena since I was 24 and today I am 54. I am not some show boat looking for the lime light nor am I wanting to sell some cheap Chinese stuff at way over rated prices.

I want to see Boquete's home security so hardened that these gangs of wolves who are preying upon our community will think twice about coming into Boquete.

Why? Because we as a community we have taken steps to disrupt, deter and repel their efforts.

This is why I am stepping forward offering my years of experience and knowledge because I care and I did not come here to have it over run by a bunch of bully thugs.

Realistic Training

ray-wymprOne thing that I would like to do is take things to the next level and start self defense training.

I am not talking about any "black belt" stuff or "my kung fu is better than your kung fu."

What I practice is a mix of martial arts that is called K4S - Knife 4 Street. It is down and dirty fighting that focuses on the use of weapons as a great equalizer and if no weapons are available, the very same techniques can be used with the empty hand.

Anyone of any age can learn some simple techniques that will help give you an edge where maybe you are not cold cocking the bad guy out, but you are doing enough damage that it may give the bad guy pause for thought instead of cowering in fear.

Do you know that with some basic knowledge, your brain will translate that into self-confidence?

Bad guys are bullies / wolves, they do not want to attack the sheep dog, they are after the sheep.

Sheep are cute warm fuzzy victims whose main thoughts are rainbows and unicorns. They run, hide and don't fight back. Their solution is to cower in some corner hoping the bad guy will eventually leave them alone.

Sheepdogs are alert, prepared and ready to defend if they have to.

The wolf does not like confrontation, and are cowards. When confronted with a self-confident person, they in turn cower and look to find an easier target. This is a proven fact.

This is why it is my desire to start conducting REALISTIC Training with you. In our first couple of classes I will discuss the different types of weapons one can use. I will bring some my personal weapons so that you can see what it feels like in your hand so you can realistically ask yourself... can you deploy it effectively, can you use it, and can you with some solid training and practice defend yourself with it?

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN CLASSES, I NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU.

I am still looking for a venue, and if anyone has a place that they know of, please share that info with me. In the beginning I will only be able to take on 10 - 20 students max till I am able to train other students who can help assist training. Once I have trained some of these student trainers we can then take on larger classes.

All this together helps harden Boquete's Security as a community. Not only do we have secure homes and property, we have learned and trained so that if we are confronted, we can put up a fight instead of cowering away like some victim hiding in some locked car or dark corner.

In my mind the time for Boquete to be a victim is over.

If you feel the same way I do, then together we can do something about it and have fun while we are doing it.

If you like the status quo and it has worked for you, great. What I want to offer is an alternative to that status quo in hopes that we can keep the wolves at bay and out of our back yard.

I choose to not be a victim, but step up and help be part of a solution.

If this appeals to you, check out my website http://boquetesecurity.com and sign up for my free newsletter.

If I can help you with any of my experience, then contact me ray@boquetesecurity.com

Thanks for your time.

Cheers!

Ray
