Our mission is to provide low cost spaying and neutering of dogs and cats, and to promote the general welfare of animals in our community and surrounding areas. | | | | AMIGOS DE ANIMALES BOQUETE PANAMÁ NOVEMBER 2024 NEWSLETTER | | | A New Year is Coming - We Need Your Help to Keep Going! Dear Animal Lovers and Supporters, As we close another impactful year, we reflect on our strides in animal welfare and education. This year, we honor Katrina Kneebone, a dedicated volunteer whose efforts have transformed our educational outreach program. Katrina expanded our education initiatives, setting up reading corners, providing animal sterilization clinic presentations, distributing and teaching animal care workbooks in schools. She also organized successful sterilization clinics directly in schools, serving families who couldn't reach our main clinic. Due to health concerns, Katrina had stepped back, and sadly passed away on October 30. We are committed to continuing her legacy. We aim to raise $35,000: - $14400 to continue rural school sterilization clinics- the demand is steadily increasing
- $6000 to finish reading corners in 13 classrooms.
- $8000 to upgrade 43 classrooms to 50 bilingual/spanish books per classroom
- $1100 for bookcases
- $1000 for Animal care and sterilization presentations
- $750 for rugs in reading corners
- $3800 for school Christmas parties
Join us in honoring Katrina by contributing to this campaign. Your generosity will help us continue making a difference in our community. Thank you for your support. Leslie Sherling, President, Amigos de Animales Boquete | | | | ♥♥ Together, We Can Do More ♥♥ This year, let's honor Katrina's spirit by ensuring that schools experience the same dedication to animal welfare and continued education that Katrina was passionate about. Your generosity echoes through generations, leaving a legacy of kindness and responsible pet ownership. Thank you for being part of our mission. Take a careful look at the second image, which shows why we ask for your donations! | | | | | OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE THE FOUNDATION OF OUR SUCCESS At every clinic we hold, whether at our facility in Alto Boquete or at locations around Chiriqui, our volunteers give of their time, energy and love of animals to make each and every clinic a success. Because we are a not-for-profit oganization, we cannot pay our volunteers, so once a year we gather together at a special luncheon to celebrate these dedicated individuals. No special skills are required to become a volunteer - just a desire to contribute! If you enjopy working with animals, we have many positions that need to be filled every month and will provide training. If you'd rather not be hands-on but would still like to join us, we have ongoing needs for individuals to help out with marketing, website design and maintenance, communications, kitchen support, and many other tasks. Below are a few photos of our recent Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon - if you'd like to be at next year's event, please email us at volunteer@aadab.org | | | Bid4Boquete is Back!
