Karen, who is 19 years old, has severe Cerebral Palsy and is confined to a wheel chair. She needs total care by her mom, Genarina, who is diabetic. Grandmother Crecencia also lives with them. Crecencia receives the occasional $100 elderly support from the government which is their only income. Crecencia also tends a flock of chickens. A son with mental problems sometimes comes by to eat. They live down a washed out road with no bus service. Thanks to The Rotary Club of Boquete, this home now has an indoor bathroom and wheelchair access. This family really appreciates the support and the monthly social visit with their BVB representative!
