On September 20th, Boquete Artworks offered a workshop on Artist Trading Cards (ATC). The Workshop on ATCs was free and open to the public as are all of our gatherings. We had an awesome response! Twenty-five creative residents and visitors of Boquete gathered on the third floor of the Library for a morning of fun.
All the attendees were surrounded by the current Boquete Artworks Installation on the walls of the library. This art show is running through the end of October and many pieces are for sale!
Carrie Fisher, Boquete Artworks President, gave a detailed description on the history of ATCs and how to create and trade them.
Then the fun of creating while enjoying the great camaraderie of like-minded people began:
We were given all manner of art supplies with which to work. Carrie guided the gathering through their first creations. Some used pen and ink, some used Zentangle technique and some used collage and glitter glue. Everyone used a Smile!

Mark your Calenders! Our next Gathering will be on October 18 at 10:30 a.m. on the third floor of the beautiful Boquete Library. Johnnie Fernandez will be the presentor on "Space and Shape as an Art Element". You are all invited and we would love to have everyone return who attended our Workshop and bring ATCs for Trading. All attendees may use "Space and Shape" as a focus, or be as free and creative as you wish them to be.
