[News Boquete] Long=time Boquete resident Phil. McGuigan has died

Philip Palmer McGuigan has passed away; he died peacefully in Alexandria VA where he and his wife Alicia moved in 2023 after 16 years in Boquete. Philip lived a big life with lots of travel and adventure but his best life was lived in Boquete. He was involved from the start, working as a volunteer at Amigos de Animales and serving as a long time founder and board member of Amigos de Boquete. Through his work at Amigos de Boquete, he implemented a program that supported food in 12 elementary schools in the Boquete district and developed partnerships with other organizations to support the children of Boquete. This foundation still exists and is partnered with Buenos Vecinos de Boquete and the Boquete Food Bank. Philip was a character; he loved Boquete and was well known throughout the community for his love of talking, devotion to community, and great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed. ___________________________________________________________________ The above message was distributed by /News Boquete/, a free subscription-based community service. /News Boquete/'s _*ONLY*_ public email address is news.boquete@gmail.com.
