Thank you for all your warm responses to keep Jungla alive. Did you know Jungla provides a great educational service to the community where you can always bring your family and friends to interact with, and learn about, the native wildlife, and to the countless schools throughout Panama which love to come to Jungla for field trips? Jungla has just received the highest awards ever given from the Handicap Foundation of Panama for our excellents in Animal Therapy and Riding Therapy which help hundreds of handicapped children throughout Panama. These handicapped children travel up to seven hours on a bus for their therapy, do not complain and are so happy to interact with the animals when they get here. Many of the children will not reach for that pencil but they will surely open their fingers for the first time ever to reach out and pat Tuci the Toucan, or Dr. Awesome, one of the Bunnies, or hold Nubia's newborn baby goat in their lap. Their laughter and smiles bring tears to their parents' and teachers' eyes as they watch in amazement. They love being lifted from their wheelchairs to ride on Dorado the Horse, balancing themselves, mostly on their own, for the first time in their lives while screaming with laughter. Jungla does not just change the lives of rescued animals, it also changes the lives of the hundreds of handicapped children who would normally never get the chance to discover their true abilities.
This is why I am still willing to stand and fight for Jungla to stay alive with your help. Here is an outline of what we need, that you asked me to send to you:
1. Dorado the Horse - one bag of horse grain per week, fresh cut grass and / or hay, suitable horse treats such as fruits and vegetables.
