[News Boquete] Pilates at the Haven! Now- Ongoing Classes 4 Mornings Weekly!


Pilates- The Work-Out of Choice for People who Really like to Work-Out

At the completion of a Pilates session, one feels like he or she has really worked-out. Pilates provides a balanced, total work-out for both the body and mind.
Class begins with an aerobic warm-up done bouncing on the ball, to warm-up the muscles and ligaments supporting the pelvis and spine. Hip moves follow opening the lower back, pelvis and hips, as well as stretching movements for the shoulders, spine and arms. Sequences of coordination are led into enhancing body/mind awareness and instructing whole body movement integrating all parts of the body in flowing patterns of movement.
Multiple props are used including stretchy bands for stretching and strengthening and multiple balls for balance and working the core. These are used either standing or sitting on a mat or as one is lying face-up or face-down. Fluidity, precision, alignment, control and movement coordinated with the breath are all cued and emphasized throughout the class sequence from beginning to end.
The practitioner feels [during and at the end of a session] deeply in touch with him or herself and his or her potential for movement and ultimate well-being. All people who do Pilates on a regular basis agree,Pilates is a total creative work-out experience and a deeply rewarding ton of fun!

Classes at the Haven- Mondays and Thursdays, 8:30- 9:45 a.m., Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:30- 10:45 a.m.
Classes can either be paid as one comes at $7 a class, or a Pilates Gold card can be purchased for $60 for unlimited classes for one month from the first class taken.
All class props/materials provided. Come join anytime!
*It is highly recommended students come at least twice weekly to reap the benefits of Pilates and to feel as though one is learning and progressing.
 One need not be a member of the Haven to attend classes or enjoy Spa Services.
