A Brief Overview of Ecstatic Dance

In the human experience music and dance were the original forms of celebration and cultural cohesion.  For tens of thousands of years music and dance has been used in every culture to reduce stress, physical and emotional tension, treat disease as well as enhance personal connection with other people.  Drawing upon this ancient tradition, ecstatic dance is a holistic movement that stimulates joyful expression, enhanced awareness of self and improved interpersonal communication.  Ecstatic dance helps balance the mind, body and spirit and is one of the most effective wellness modalities available in the world today.  Ecstatic Dance is not a religious gathering, but rather a dance that speaks to your spirit about unconditional love and the delight of being alive in the moment.

Mondays are traditionally a day we are not open to the public so as to allow our usual staff a day off:  no food will be served.  This is a non-alcohol event:  however, fruit smoothies, coffee, tea and soda are available.  Wear loose clothing; bring a small towel for wiping your brow and a water bottle.

A $5 donation is appreciated.   Space limited to 20 people.
