Boquete Art Works invites you to our monthly gathering, Friday, April 17, 10:30 a.m. on the 3rd floor of the Boquete Library.
We are fortunate to present Cynthia Freiburghaus. Cynthia is a successful professional artist who works with acrylics and a palette knife. Her work is inspired by nature and her style is a mixture of marked realism and sometimes surrealism.
She is willing to share her secrets and tips on color, texture and composition and the skills needed to be a successful artist and will go through the steps she takes to achieve a final work. She will have some examples of her work with her.
Cynthia has lived in Panamá since 1968 and in the Chiriquí province for the last 20 years. She has been an artist for 14 years and sells most of her work from galleries in Panama City. She is a single mother who has successfully supported her three children with her art...an amazing feat to be sure.
In 2012, Cynthia won first place in Boquete's first-ever "juried" art show sponsored by Boquete Artworks. This show presented forty-five participating artists from all over Panama. You can view her work at http://www.cfreiburghaus.com
