[News Boquete] Thank You to Boquete Artworks from Biblioteca de Boquete

The Fundación Biblioteca de Boquete board members, staff, and the library volunteers would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the members of Boquete Artworks for the very generous donation of their $850.00 award from Bid 4 Boquete.

We would especially like to recognize and thank Mary Ellen Watts for organizing the recent entertaining and highly successful Randy Pigott concert to raise funds for children's programs in the library. We would also like to thank Mary Ellen and Jane Hampton for the many hours they've spent hanging and pricing the numerous art pieces currently displayed throughout the building.

The library founders and board members have always intended that this library be a vibrant cultural center in the community. The long-standing partnership between Boquete Artworks and the Biblioteca de Boquete has helped develop a center for art and music, as well as the written word.

Amongst all the activities programmed for the children, the art classes seem to give them the most joy. It is our sincere hope that in future years we will have a few talented artists, like yourselves, that had their beginnings at our library - all due to your efforts. We thank you for the generous donation you have made to the library.
