Martina is a 29 year-old mother. Her husband died three years ago leaving her as the sole provider for her three children. Abram, her two year old son suffers from Asthma.  Marial is eight years old. Israel, her nine year old boy is now the man of the house. Both of the older children help their mother in any way they can. Marial and Israel attend school regularly. Martina cannot work as she must care for her 2 year old asthmatic son.  

Martina and her children live without electricity and water in a shack made of zinc and bamboo in exchange for guarding the land from intruders. 

Buenos Vecinos was informed by neighbors about Martina's plight and her children's dire need for food. Martina is very grateful to be assisted by BVB.
