Community alert: Ozzie is back in town

Reply To: Alto al Crimen <info@altoalcrimen.org>

We have learned some distressing news that is important to the security of everyone in Boquete. Fredrick Allen Osburn, "Ozzie" has been released from jail and may be once again residing in the Alto Boquete area. According to investigators, he has been seen on security cameras committing burglaries within the last week. His currently known area of activity ranges from Los Molinos to Alto Boquete and possibly Volcancito. There is no reason to believe that he will limit his activities to these areas.

According to investigators on the case, Ozzie is a master "cat burglar." His specialty is entering your home while you are asleep and stealing first and foremost, your laptop computers, then your wallet, cameras and other small items that are easily fenced. Check and re-check your security - make sure that all doors and windows are secured and locked at night. DO NOT leave barred windows open and keep all of your valuables (watches, wallets, jewelry, cameras) out of sight. Ozzie is also said to be a master lock picker, so make sure that your locked doors also have a secondary restraint, like a chain lock. Best is to have an alarm of some kind to detect when someone has entered your home. Hide your laptops at night and when you are not at home. Ozzie is also known for credit card fraud and forgery.

Ozzie is wanted by Panama Immigration for deportation and in the US for felony parole violation and for burglaries here in Boquete. If you see him, immediately call the Boquete Hot Line, 6477-6662.

The police are actively pursuing Ozzie and we will keep you up to date as events unfold.
