Caldera says "Thank You"

Reply To: Ruby McKenzie <valjala2@gmail.com>

A week long campaign headed up by Judy Odom has resulted in 320 animals being vaccinated in Caldera alone. Yesterday with the help of 4 vet students from Canada, Dr. Sandy of Potrerillos, Jakki Champ, Ken and Becky Campeau, Marion Torgany, Jesus Quiel, Judy Odom, Edwina and many other volunteers from both Potrerillos and Caldera, we vaccinated 240 animals in those communities. Thanks to the generosity of the communities in Boquete, Potrerillos, Caldera, as well as the United States, we collected enough money to pay for nearly 600 vaccines at $3 each. The vaccines we still have will be used in the community of Boquete for those who cannot afford to have their animals vaccinated. Martha Miranda is gathering a list as we speak. Together, we are making a HUGE difference! Caldera says THANK YOU!

Eight days ago I sent out a message asking for help (donations) to provide distemper vaccine for dogs in Caldera.  Your response was incredible.  Amigos de Animales collected enough money to purchase several hundred more vaccines.  Ruby McKenzie, Jakki Champ, and Dra. Chely scoured the country, locating and purchasing as many vaccines as possible.  Yesterday we held another vaccination clinic in Caldera, bringing the total number of dogs vaccinated to 320.  A clinic was also held in Potrerillos where they vaccinated an additional 114 dogs.  Left-over vaccine is being used to vaccinate street dogs in Boquete.

Here in Caldera we have stemmed the outbreak of new distemper infections.  Afflicted dogs are getting treatment.  All of us Calderians are so grateful to you for your generosity and caring.  Thank you.
