A couple of announcements from Buenos Vecinos de Boquete, the food charity currently serving over 100 needy individuals and their families in our community....We are no longer collecting non-perishable food items at the Tuesday Morning Meeting and Market.  Why?  Because we buy food at wholesale prices, and your cash donations would go so much farther to purchase food!  Thank you for considering a cash donation in lieu of food.  As always, Irene The Book Lady is your contact at the Market.

On Friday, August 19 we will be conducting a Food Drive at Romero's from 9AM to 7PM in front of the store.  Please stop by to speak with one of our volunteers.  Again, cash donations stretch our spending dollar, but of course food items will be appreciated too. These thrice yearly Food Drives are an important part of our annual budget.  Thank you for supporting our efforts to address the issue of hunger in our community.
